They’ve hacked and defaced a number of three Israeli sites apparently belonging to Microsoft, and the official website of Groupon (groupon.co.il). American rapper Soulja Boy is the latest celebrity to become the victim of hackers. It appears that both his Twitter and YouTube accounts have been taken over by supporters of the famous UGNazi collective. While the Twitter account seems to have been regained by the artist, his YouTube account still bears the marks of the hack. However, the video – which has been viewed over 20 million times – is not entitled “Hip Hop dance” (or whatever its original name was), but “Crank That UGNazi (twitter.com/ug).” Furthermore, the details section of the video reads: Follow: twitter.com/ug #UGNazi #freecosmo #freejoshthegod #freeshmoop #joshthegod #cosmothegod #keepsabu.” The tweets appear to have been removed from Soulja Boy’s account, but the rapper hasn’t mentioned anything about the breach.  This isn’t the first time when Soulja Boy’s social media accounts are hacked. In the past, hackers overtook both his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

NullCrew hackers once again show their support for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. This time, they claim to have breached data.gov.uk – a UK government project that provides citizens with non-personal data which can be freely re-used. They published a 700 megabyte archive that holds numerous .cvs files which contain all sorts of information. Although we haven’t spotted any sensitive details in the massive leak, the website does have a login section, which may mean that user credentials might have been obtained by the hackers. Apparently, similar to other data breaches, the attackers exploited an SQL Injection vulnerability to gain access to the files. He have sent an inquiry to data.gov.uk representatives a few hours before this post was published, but so far they haven’t responded. Blizzard.com.ua – a Ukrainian website dedicated to Blizzard games fans – has been breached by hackers operating under the Anonymous and AntiSec banners.   “About time you get you Content Management Systems updated son?!” they wrote next to the data leak sample. This indicates that the attackers leveraged an unpatched security hole in order to gain access to the site’s databases. The paste published on peoplesliberationfront.net contains a link to a 7 megabyte file that stores 19,106 usernames, passwords, email addresses and other user details. According to Cyber War News , besides this file, there are two other databases out there, apparently containing administrator details and information belonging to World of Warcraft players.  Hopefully, this will act as a wakeup call for the site’s administrators and they’ll address the vulnerability, but also notify their users to ensure that their details cannot be misused. Turkish hackers recently hacked the Web site of soccer team FC Spartak Moscow after the Russian team's fans burned Turkish flags and pictures of Atatürk during a Champions League playoff match against Turkish team Fenerbahce on August 21. A portrait of Atatürk next to a Turkish flag was also posted on the website.   The group replaced the website's original content with a statement that called on the team to "immediately apologize." " You will immediately apologize to the Turkish Republic and the Turkish people. Account details for millions of players have been stolen in a hack attack on Blizzard, the maker of World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo.   Blizzard revealed details of the breach in a message posted to its Battle.net account management service. Players in North America should change their login details for the account management service, said Blizzard. So far, it said, there was no evidence that credit card numbers and other personal details had been taken. Angry gamers In the message, Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime said it discovered on 4 August that there had been "unauthorized and illegal access" to its internal network. A total of around 12,500 account details have been leaked, Cyberwarnews.info reports.    From London 2012 Rentals, a website that provides rental offers for those who plan on attending the London 2012 Olympic Games, the hacker stole around 5,000 usernames, emails and clear text passwords and posted them on peoplesliberationfront.net . LinkedIn yesterday confirmed that there was a breach of security, and that member passwords were dumped by the attackers. The password hashes have been posted on the Internet in a 250 Megabyte text file, and it is generally assumed that people have started to break the hashes to reveal the underlying passwords. All in all, about 6.5 million LinkedIn user accounts are affected by this. LinkedIn itself has taken counter measures to protect affected users accounts from being compromised. Probably the biggest protection in this regard is that affected account passwords have been invalidated, so that they can’t be used anymore to log in to LinkedIn. All affected members will receive an email from LinkedIn that contains instructions on how to reset the account passwords. Hackers from Malicious Security, or MalSec, have managed to breach the systems of the Arizona State Legislature (azleg.gov), leaking more than 300 record sets from a table called “standing transactions.” The data consists of bill numbers, descriptions, document names, document types, FTP URLs, HTTP URLs, session IDs and other information. While this may not exactly look like sensitive data, the hackers also leaked a couple of user names, IDs, and their associated passwords (in clear text.) According to the message posted by the hackers, this breach is a form of protest against the US government.  “[Expletive] u, and [expletive] ur gov! We still are Anonymous! We do not forgive.
