Captain America: Civil War (2016) Plot: After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Political interference in the Avengers' activities causes a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.

Former Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures, Amy Pascal, stepped down from her position last week. Recently after that, Marvel Studios' President, Kevin Feige announced a deal with Sony Pictures, a deal that will bring Spider-Man into Marvel's Cinematic Universe. This means that Amy Pascal will join forces with Kevin Feige in the production of the next Spider-Man movie, that will be released in July 2017. Also, the Spider-Man movie will be released under Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films. Marvel and Sony Pictures are also exploring opportunities to integrate characters from the MCU (Marvel's Cinematic Universe) into future Spider-Man films. There are also rumors that Spider-Man will make his appearance in the next Captain America movie (Captain America: Civil War), but that remains to be seen.
