NASA Employees Personal Information Has Been Compromised

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is warning employees that their personal details might have been compromised after a laptop was stolen from a staffer’s locked car. The stolen device contains records of personally identifiable information for numerous employees, contractors and “others.” The laptop is password protected, but because there’s no disk encryption system set in place, the chances for the information stored on it to be misused are fairly high. “The Administrator is extremely concerned about this incident and has directed that all IT security issues be given the highest priority. NASA is taking immediate steps to prevent future occurrences of PII data loss,” reads the notice sent by Richard J. Keegan Jr., associate deputy administrator, to employees.

Fragmente din acel ghetar plutesc si acum in deriva in largul Canadei.

NASA, ESA confirm hacks; The Unknowns says systems patched

Two of the 10 organizations listed in a recent hack attack have confirmed the alleged security breaches. Furthermore, the “new” hacker group The Unknowns behind the attack says many of the systems have now been patched, which was supposedly their goal. NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) have confirmed they were recently hacked. The hacking group The Unknowns says most of the 10 companies it attacked have patched their systems. Earlier this week, The Unknowns claimed to have hacked 10 organizations around the world, gaining administrator access for all and leaking data for some . In addition to revealing how to access the computer systems of the organizations in question, The Unknowns also posted screenshots showing they gained accessed to each and every one. The group even put together 250MB worth of military documents from their hacks and uploaded the collection to MediaFire. Some of the leaked documents were sever...

“The Unknowns” Hack NASA, US Air Force, ESA, and Others

A hacker collective called “The Unknowns” has published a Pastebin document that allegedly proves they managed to gain unauthorized access to a number of high profile websites. The list of targets includes the Bahrain Ministry of Defense, Thai Royal Navy, a subdomain owned by car manufacturer Renault, Harvard University, French Ministry of Defense, Jordanian Yellow Pages, European Space Agency (ESA), US Military’s Joint Pathology Center, NASA’s Glenn Research Center and the US Air Force. The Pastebin post was made public on May 1, but some of the hacks seem to date as far back as March 2012. “Victims, we have released some of your documents and data, we probably harmed you a bit but that's not really our goal because if it was then all of your websites would be completely defaced but we know that within a week or two, the vulnerabilities we found will be patched and that's what we're actually looking for,” the hackers wrote. “We're ready to give yo...

Google l-a premiat!
