NullCrew Hacked Data.Gov.Uk ! 700 MB data leaked!

NullCrew hackers once again show their support for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. This time, they claim to have breached data.gov.uk – a UK government project that provides citizens with non-personal data which can be freely re-used. They published a 700 megabyte archive that holds numerous .cvs files which contain all sorts of information. Although we haven’t spotted any sensitive details in the massive leak, the website does have a login section, which may mean that user credentials might have been obtained by the hackers. Apparently, similar to other data breaches, the attackers exploited an SQL Injection vulnerability to gain access to the files. He have sent an inquiry to data.gov.uk representatives a few hours before this post was published, but so far they haven’t responded. Hopefully, they can confirm or deny the hackers’ claims and provide further explanations. Source: softpedia | @EduardKovacs

Hacker Claims to Have Breached Police.uk Website

A hacker who claims to have no affiliation to the Anonymous collective has apparently breached police.uk – a website dedicated to crime, policing, and criminal justice matters that concern Wales and England – along with a couple of its subdomains. From the subdomains he breached – snt.herts.police.uk and nottinghamshire.police.uk – the hacker leaked 97 records consisting of usernames, passwords, email addresses and names belonging to officers. Hundreds of records consisting of login and contact details have also been made public. The breach appears to be part of Operation Free Assange, the campaign initiated by hacktivists in support for WikiLeaks' founder. While the data leak seems to be genuine, this particular hacker doesn’t quite have a clean slate , which makes us doubt the legitimacy of his claims. An inquiry has been sent out to the site’s representatives hoping they can confirm or deny the hacker’s claims. We’ll return with more...

Action required – Assange to be arrested under all circumstances

A policeman has accidentally revealed a secret plan to seize Julian Assange “under all circumstances” if he steps outside the Ecuadorian embassy, in an embarrassment for Scotland Yard.    The uniformed Met officer was pictured holding a clipboard detailing possible ways the WikiLeaks founder could try to escape from the building he has been holed up in for the past two months. His target, who is trying to avoid extradition to Sweden for questioning over alleged rape and sexual assault, is currently safe on diplomatic territory. He has been given political asylum by the Latin American country, on the grounds that he faces persecution in the USA over his whistle-blowing website, but faces arrest the second he steps outside because he has breached his bail conditions. The policeman’s handwritten tactical brief, captured by a Press Association photographer as he stood outside the Knightsbridge embassy on Friday afternoon, discloses t...
