Former Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures, Amy Pascal, stepped down from her position last week. Recently after that, Marvel Studios' President, Kevin Feige announced a deal with Sony Pictures, a deal that will bring Spider-Man into Marvel's Cinematic Universe. This means that Amy Pascal will join forces with Kevin Feige in the production of the next Spider-Man movie, that will be released in July 2017. Also, the Spider-Man movie will be released under Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films. Marvel and Sony Pictures are also exploring opportunities to integrate characters from the MCU (Marvel's Cinematic Universe) into future Spider-Man films. There are also rumors that Spider-Man will make his appearance in the next Captain America movie (Captain America: Civil War), but that remains to be seen.
