One of the main problems of Apple's iDevices is the screen cracking easily when dropped.
Well, this will soon going to be changed, according to the latest patent granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office, for a “Protective mechanism for an electronic device”. This mechanism should protect the sensitive hardware from Apple's devices when falling, meaning that the devices should turn in the air in such a way that will land on the back or sides.
According to Apple's patent, this mechanism will take use of the already existing accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS to complete it's task.
While falling, these sensors will send data to a central processing unit.
This unit will than send a command to a motor inside the mechanism, that will reposition the device in midair.
The original system was developed by Nicholas V. King and Fletcher Rothkopf.

Raymond James analysts said they expect sales of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to top 9 million in the first weekend.

The USB Promoter Group announced that the reversible USB Type-C connector is ready for mass production. They call this the greatest invention in the universe :)
The size of the reversible USB Type-C is the same as the existing Micro-USB connector used for smartphones.
The new USB connector will have 18 pins, which is two standard USB 3.1 SuperSpeed having 4 pins, plus 5 more, in this way allowing a 10Gbps connections. Also supports the new USB Power Delivery specs, that allows up to 100 watts to be carried over a USB cable, enough to power a laptop or most of the peripherals, including a monitor.
All it's left is for the USB Implementers Forum to make Type-C devices, cables and adapters.
