International hacktivist organization staged a cyber attack against ministries in Turkey late yesterday.
The group made a DDOS attack to the websites belonging to ministries of justice, interior and foreign affairs and websites belonging to the police department.
A special team from Turkey's Telecommunications Directorate protected the websites from the attacks.
The attacks lasted for two hours, during which none of the targeted websites were affected.
An Internet outage that occurred last night in Ankara and Istanbul, meanwhile, had nothing to do with the attacks and was due to a fiber cable installation carried out by Türk Telekom, reports said.
